CPD and Leadership
The ambition of Teaching School Alliances is to bring additional opportunities to the area for the development of school staff at all levels and in a range of teaching and support roles.
The ways we are beginning to do this include organising and delivering specific training in response to local needs, brokering ways for schools to share their existing INSET and school-based CPD, hosting themed conferences, supporting consortia-based CPD, etc.
For CPD opportunities in your local area please contact your local Alliance.
TeachMeets across Kent and Medway are a popular, free opportunity to share good practice and network with colleagues. For further details click on Alliance links detailing dates and venues.
Our shared goal is to grow and develop middle, senior leaders and Headteachers with the skillsets they need to lead schools in a rapidly changing education landscape.
Kent and Medway Teaching School Alliances are directly involved in the delivery of the NCTL’s Leadership Curriculum which includes the new NPQH, and national professional qualifications for middle and senior leadership (NPQML and NPQSL). As a result of their involvement, these nationally accredited qualifications are now delivered locally and the content is tailored to reflect local needs and contexts.
